Get the support and structure you need to succeed
Executive Link is a network of Ranching for Profit alumni that are dedicated to continued growth and improvement. Every Executive Link member gets access to professional development training, peer-review board meetings, and experienced facilitators. These resources provide structure, accountability, and support to help overcome any challenges a rancher may face.
What is Executive Link?
When you join Executive Link, you’ll be put on a board of directors with representatives from five or six other businesses. With the help of experienced facilitators, you’ll give each other strategic advice and hold each other accountable. Each board meets three times a year and belongs to a regional chapter. Regional chapter meetings in the fall and winter account for two of these meetings. In the summer, individual EL boards meet on one of the member’s ranches. RMC provides a facilitator for each of these meetings.

Peer-Review Board Meetings
Peer-review board meetings are the cornerstone of Executive Link. RFP alumni work with one another and experienced facilitators in peer advisory boards to discuss challenges facing one another’s businesses and come up with action plans to overcome them. They meet three times a year: twice at their regional chapter meetings and once individually or at the EL conference.
Chapter Meetings
Each Executive Link board belongs to a regional chapter that meets twice a year for three days in the fall and winter. At each chapter meeting, EL members participate in the continuing education program, enjoy meals together, and participate in their peer-review board meetings.
In addition to the fall and winter chapter meetings, each EL Board has a summer meeting. The summer board meeting is usually on one of the board member’s ranches and includes a ranch tour. RMC provides a facilitator for each of these meetings.
Continuing Education
Every fall and winter chapter meeting begins with an interactive, half-day professional development training that covers various topics, such as:
- Effective communication
- Succession planning
- Sell-buy marketing
- Decision making
- Psychology of sales
- Time management
- Personal effectiveness
- Holding people accountable
Networking
Ranching isolates us physically. It can be even more isolating when we break with traditional practices and do things differently from everyone else. Executive Link provides a safe environment for people who want to think outside the box. If you are looking for a rubber stamp, this isn’t it. Board members will challenge your ideas. Their objective isn’t to shoot down your dreams. It is to test them, strengthen them and make sure you get where you want to go. Whatever you are thinking of doing, there is probably someone in Executive Link who has “been there and done that.”
Words from Executive Link members
“It has expedited the progress of our success. We are 15 years ahead of where we'd be without it.” – Josh Adams
“I love the Ranching for Profit School, but we have gained so much more from Executive Link.” – Kinsey Burrus
How to join
